My previous experiences using technology includes a variety of different experiences. For example, for everyday use, I use my phone for communication with others and for social media sites. I also use my phone to take pictures and to send emails. In the classroom, I use my laptop to conduct research and to access online textbooks. During my high school career, I was required to use an iPad. I had access to books, note taking apps, and classroom websites.
I hope to learn how to properly use different types of technological tools and how to apply them as a future educator. As an aspiring teacher, I must learn how to use smart boards and other technology to aid my students in the learning environment. I am excited to experience newer technologies such as 3D printers and virtual realty. Technology is always changing, therefore, I hope to learn how to adapt and adjust to the changing technological lifestyle.
I learned that my learning style depends more on an active environment rather than reflective meaning that I learn better by participating. I also prefer a sequential learning style. I like to take things one step at a time rather than seeing the whole picture. I am pretty balanced in verbal and visual learning as well as intuitive and sensing.
